Supporting Our Fallen Heroes

On July 10, a military transport plane crashed in the Mississippi Delta claiming the lives of 16 service members, including nine from the “Yankees,” a Reserve Marine Corps KC-130T Hercules squadron based at Stewart Air National Guard in Newburgh, NY. It was the deadliest crash for the Marines in more than a decade.
The news hit the local community hard, including employees of the Turtle & Hughes Newburgh branch office. The Air Base has been a long-time customer and the heroes who fell that day were friends and neighbors.
“This is an American tragedy,” says Jayne Millard, Chairman and CEO of Turtle & Hughes. “We are all heartbroken at the devastating loss of these patriots and our thoughts and prayers are with their families, loved ones and the entire Hudson Valley community, which has lost some of its finest.”
Turtle & Hughes has committed to support the families left behind through a monetary donation to the Wingman Foundation, an all-volunteer, veteran-run, non-profit organization dedicated to providing immediate post-mishap support for Navy and Marine Corps Aviation community and their families. One hundred percent of the donations will go directly to the families affected.
