A Company-Wide Enterprise Solution
As a certified Alcatel-Lucent business partner, Turtle & Hughes provided a company-wide enterprise solution for a national real estate development company experiencing problems with its core business systems. Turtle & Hughes pinpointed three main trouble spots and developed a three-pronged phased resolution, consisting of a non-intrusive network analysis and equipment inventory; an upgrade and management plan for all third party equipment; and integration and/or replacement of telephone, Ethernet, firewall, and wireless systems for over 650 users in seven states. The result: the company is now focusing more time on its core business.

Sustainable Energy Development - TurtleEnergy
Bringing the Benefits of Solar Power to University
At the request of Turner Construction, Turtle & Hughes supplied, designed and installed a 50kW photovoltaic system on the roof of the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Student Center—the state’s most advanced solar installation at the time. A major challenge was the potential energy loss due to shadows cast by neighboring buildings. We recommended installation of two Axis Trackers to increase solar efficiency by 25 percent in the winter and 15 percent in the summer, and supplied 19 roof-mounted Photovoltaic Powered Inverters and monitoring systems that compare real-time and historical energy output against projections. The advantage to NJIT: annual savings of $40,000 in electrical bills. The advantage to the environment: prevention of the production of an annual 100,000 pounds of carbon dioxide, the amount generated by a conventional coal-burning power plant.

Serving Top U.S. Pharmaceutical Companies
As a result of a rigorous year long bidding process, Turtle & Hughes, one of the few woman-owned enterprises in the integrated supply arena, was recently awarded an account to develop supply chain solutions for two Fortune 100 Pharmaceutical Companies. Both companies entertained proposals from leading integrated supply companies throughout the U.S. that addressed financial strength, vendor relationships, customer relationships and technological capabilities, as well as pricing and program solutions, questions about personnel, ownership, diversity, safety and environmental policy of each integrator.
